4 layers Blu Ray

Just after the presentation of the new 3 layers HD DVD with a possibility of 51GB, the Blu-Ray camp answered with a 4 layers disc capable of holding 100 GB of data. Best of all this four layers disc can be read with the regular Blu-Ray drive currently sold with a simple firmware update. Clearly, if the market adopts the best product, Blu-Ray will be the winner. There are many other things to consider, however, such as which format has the best movie offering. This will probably be the determining point as many consumer are not aware of the technical information and will base their decision on the choice of movies.
