According to our latest informations, Apple and Cisco were negotiating until the last minute before the keynote, hoping to get an agreement regarding the trademark infringment. It seems that Cisco didn't budge, wanting interopability between the two devices. This was an unacceptable option for Apple.
Some lawyers also mentionned that Cisco might not be the owner of the iPhone trademark anymore as they didn't prove they were using it by the required deadline last year.
